Harvestival 2009

25 degrees, freeway closed, snow and ice on the ground...and we still go pumpkin hunting!

Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture, check out www.localharvest.org for more info) hosted it's 2nd annual Harvestival last weekend in spite of record cold. Lolo and Poppy were in town for a visit and joined us on our adventure! Although we didn't linger or stop to listen to the live music, we had a frozen fun time.

We liked his frosty ears

He looks warm

Horses are cool, until they try to kiss you!

Maybe it will be warmer next year!

  1. Seems you had a great adventure. It's great you stuck to your cause, what with artificially enhanced veggies and GM foods hitting the market. Hopefully one day we'll all move back to organic farming. Keep posting. Take care.

  2. Yikes - what frozen tundra do you live in??? Amy has record high temps and no snow in Alaska and you have record low temps and the ground is covered - go figure. Not to rub it in, but 70 and crystal clear blue skies in Boise - I'm lovin' it! Also lovin' the pics - thanks for sharing and a big smoocheroo to my adorable nephew!
