Baby sister!

Late Saturday night we welcomed Vera Mae Weatherford into our family!

Although she was nine days late, she arrived in record time, less than three hours. Born at home with the help of our amazing midwives Sena and Kim.

Cary caught our beautiful 8 lb. 14 oz. 22" long baby girl at 11:54 pm.

Big brother Keenan is still deciding if we should keep her.

A few pictures and a rare video of Keenan checking her out.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Waiting, a little impatiently!

While we are waiting for our newest family member to join us, we thought we would share a few recent belly shots. Oh, and Keenan's awesome Christmas tree decorating.

Hope we have news to share soon!

Tickle time!

Every morning Keenan asks if the baby is here. This morning when I told him not yet, he asked if it was at the top yet trying to get out. Hopefully it is!

Getting Ready for Baby

The birth team, ready for baby

Our home visit with our midwives was Saturday. They come to make sure we have all our supplies and are ready for the home birth. Keenan loves the birth tub and thinks it is his personnal bouncy house. Cary loves the cup holder in the birth tub and is envisioning drinking beer while I labor away. We'll see how that works out for him!

Stitches

Keenan decided in order to be a proper big brother he needed some battle wounds to show the baby. One slip in the tub, a cracked chin, trip to the ER and three stitches later...he's ready!
